Product Description

by Donna J. Crawshaw (Author)

Join Fanny the Elephant as she returns to Daggett Farm, the location of the former Slater Park Zoo. Read along as she and the farm residents go on magical adventures throughout the park. Join Goldie, P.J., Chico and the rest of the farm family as they lead us on a journey that explores their hopes and dreams, but more importantly their love for the little and big humans who visit them daily.

Fanny the Asian Elephant was the star attraction of the Slater Park Zoo in Pawtucket, Rhode Island from the late 1950s through the early 1990s. Children and families rushed to meet, feed, and chat with this gentle giant. She knew innately that her most important job was to bring joy and happiness to her visitors. After her job was complete at the Slater Park Zoo, she spent her retirement at the Black Beauty Ranch in Henderson County, Texas. There, she enjoyed the company of her companion, Conga, an African Elephant. She lived out the rest of her life happily, eating healthy and roaming free.
