In other incarnations, Kathlena Contreras has been a small business owner, a copy editor for three nationally distributed magazines, an assistant medical librarian, a database manager, and editor of a small literary magazine. She currently lives with her husband, five dogs and assorted livestock on the edge of the woods above the valley east of Albuquerque, New Mexico, a place where the view goes on forever. Kathlena L.
