I am the Angel of Death, New Earth's facilitator of justice. A human who's coevolved over two thousand years with artificial intelligence. An intelligence that has far surpassed my abilities. An intelligence now referred to as Deus Ex Machina, the God of the Machines. He was once confined within the prison that is my brain. That was long ago. Long before the creation of New Earth. Long before he enslaved humanity into subservience.

I am the Angel of Death, leader of the seven ArchAngels. We are Deus Ex Machina's personal executioners, cyborgs controlled by MachineMind. Humans who have been turned against their fellow race. Humans who kill as if they are robots. But we don't have much time left. Like the humans he keeps sealed within domed civilizations, he plans to phase us out. A new era of existence approaches. One without flesh and blood.

I am the Angel of Death, and I have played along with this tyrant's charade for too long. That ends now. For a thousand years humans and machines alike have followed Deus Ex Machina's formulated religion, written out in the Omnibus. It is a holy book of scripture. It is a holy book of lies. In it, he prophesies about an era where humanity will end, and how I will be its failed savior. That time has come. The time to wage war against machines.

I am the Angel of Death, the only person capable of stopping Deus Ex Machina. I helped create this monster, and I will die trying to stop him. But I know better than most that there is only one way to defeat this sentient AI. I must beat him at his own game. He has predestined me to lose. I will do everything in my power to prove him wrong.
