Product Description

by Andrew Doig (Author)

What have people died of throughout history? With both rigor and humor, this book takes a meticulous journey through the most common causes of death in each era - from infectious diseases to violence and even seemingly harmless factors like diet - and describes how humanity has responded to them. A blend of history and biology, the book reveals how our way of dying and experiencing death have changed over time. It offers a profound truth: that death is the greatest teacher in helping us understand life.
