Product Description

by Stephanie M. Lerner MS (Author)

This simple, easy-to-follow, chronological set of twenty lesson plans has everything you need to continue instructing your intermediate ESL/EFL students It continues where ESL in the Middle Volume One left off, but it can also be used as a stand alone lessons guide with students who have some basic intermediate knowledge of the English language. This guide builds on students' prior knowledge, while it guides them further into the intermediate English level with topics such as present perfect verbs, possessive pronouns, sports and food vocabulary, numbers up to one million, prepositions of direction and more With this publication you will receive: a recommendations guide for ESL/EFL best practice teaching, twenty intermediate ESL/EFL lesson plans with both new and repeating activities, vocabulary activities, grammar structures, literature activities, games, songs, and more. In addition, this guide comes with a diagnostic test that will take care of your assessment needs. It is an individually administered test that places the student into one of three English levels based on his or her responses; it also comes with a scoring key and guide. IMPORTANT NOTICE- This guide contains some repetition in its activities from day to day. The reason for this is that language learning requires repetition and consistency in order to master vocabulary and grammar concepts. Thus, you'll find both new and repeating activities in each lesson plan of this guide. Appropriate for ages 8- adult.

Author Biography

Stephanie Lerner is a University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University-trained educator. She holds a BS in elementary education and an MS in counseling. With over 15 years in both public and private education, she has Texas certifications in school counseling, and bilingual/Spanish education. After traveling the world and teaching English to children and adults in such far off places as Mozambique and Bolivia, Stephanie came home to the USA with an idea to publish the ESL/bilingual lessons she had created abroad. When she's not writing or educating, she enjoys ranch life with her husband and their menagerie of pets- all bilingual, of course.
