Marcus Williams does get a second chance after discovering an aspiring hip-hop artist who he signs to his record label. Surrounded by an ensuing crack cocaine epidemic and violence, at the housing projects, Marcus tries to reunite with is ex-girlfriend and his daughter. He later discovers that his greatest enemy is not the people and circumstances surrounding him, but in fact, himself. The fear of returning to prison plagues his mind, after past deeds come back to haunt him, and there lies his psychological and tragic downfall.
