Product Description
Gradient filament that does the work for you. The colour shifts gradually along the strand, so a single-extruder printer produces prints that fade from one shade to the next with no filament swaps, no pauses and no multi-material upgrade. Tall prints like vases, spirals and figurines get the most dramatic effect, since each layer lands a little further along the gradient.
Why builders like rainbow PLA
- Colour transitions happen along the filament itself, so no manual colour changes mid-print
- Works on any standard single-extruder FDM printer, no special hardware needed
- PLA is the most forgiving filament to print, which makes it a safe choice for a decorative print you care about
- 1 kg spool with roughly 320 m of 1.75 mm filament, enough for a long run of prints
Ten colourways
Matte finishes soften the layer lines and suit organic or sculptural prints:
- Matte Sandstone
- Matte Candy
- Matte Mist
- Matte Berry
- Matte Moss Ochre
Standard finishes bring more shine and stronger colour contrast:
- Lavender
- Cabbage
- Guava
- Camouflage
- Sea Salt

Getting the best gradient
- The colour changes over length, not over time, so prints with a small cross-section shift colour faster and show more of the rainbow.
- Tall, thin models such as vases, spirals and towers show the most obvious transitions. Wide flat prints use more filament per layer and shift more slowly.
- Printing several small items in one batch will spread the gradient across them, giving each a slightly different shade.
Storage and handling
PLA absorbs moisture from the air, which causes stringing and brittle prints. Keep the spool sealed in a bag with desiccant when it is not loaded, store it somewhere dry and away from direct sunlight, and dry the filament before use if it has been open a while. Unopened, the shelf life is two years.
Frequently asked questions
Will this work with my printer?
It fits most FDM printers that take 1.75 mm filament, which covers the majority of desktop machines. Check your printer's filament diameter if you are unsure.
Do I need a multi-colour printer for the gradient?
No, and that is the appeal. The colour change is built into the filament, so a single extruder produces the full gradient.
How quickly does the colour change?
It shifts gradually along the length of the filament. The faster your print consumes filament, the quicker the visible change, so slim tall prints show the most variation.
Can I choose where a colour lands on my print?
Not precisely. The gradient runs along the spool, so the shade you get depends on how much filament has already been used.
What is the difference between the matte and standard colours?
Matte finishes hide layer lines and look softer, while standard finishes are glossier with more vivid colour.
How much can I print with 1 kg?
Roughly 320 m of 1.75 mm filament, which covers a good number of medium-size decorative prints.
What temperature should I print at?
Standard PLA settings are the starting point. Check the spool label for ERYONE's recommended nozzle and bed temperatures and adjust from there.
Where does it ship from?
Options include the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and the Russian Federation.
