During this period he wrote Calvin's Doctrine of the Word and Sacrament and Calvin's Doctrine of the Christian Life. as well as several books of biblical exposition. He then became professor of biblical theology at Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur, Georgia, a post he held for thirteen years.
