Elements of Life and Love

By: Basil Neal

Elements of Life and Love details how the various aspects of life correlate to the love and support given to us from family, friends, and especially that someone special in our lives. Mostly written at special occasions, it expresses that life is not always easy, and we all seek the person or persons in life who are compatible with us and who mitigate the ups and downs we experience in life with their love and support. From the Good Book, "And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love" (1 Corinthians 13:13).

About the Author

Basil Neal grew up as a hard-working country boy. He worked hard to be a good student and always enjoyed sports and music. He worked his way through North Carolina State University and followed a career as an engineer working in the U.S., Canada, and sometimes Europe. After work and on weekends, he became an amateur builder working on his home and other structures. He maintained his love of sports and enjoyed golf and other games whenever possible. After retirement, he has found time to enjoy his passions of playing music, occasional golf games, and senior dancing. His interest in writing verse seemed to develop from writing poems on special occasions for friends and the special lady in his life. Some of these poems are contained within, including a poem titled, About the Author.
