Author Biography

Nacido en Cuba, Julio C. Vera recibió su licenciatura en letras de Carnegie Mellon University, un máster en Bellas Artes de la escuela de cinematografía de la University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) y un segundo máster en ciencias de la información y biblioteconomía de la misma UCLA. Practicó esa carrera en el ámbito de archivos en Los Angeles. De regreso a las letras, ahora escribe obras de teatro, televisión y cine. El Censo de 1680 de La Gomera y El Hierro, es fruto de sus estudios genealógicos sobre las raíces de su familia en las Islas Canarias. Cuban-born, Julio C. Vera received his bachelor of arts from Carnegie Mellon University, a master of fine arts from the film school at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a second master in library and information sciences from UCLA. He practiced his profession in archival institutions of Los Angeles. Returning to writing, he currently writes for theater, television and film. El Censo de 1680 de La Gomera y El Hierro, is the result of his genealogy research into the roots of his family in the Canary Islands.
