Author Biography
Bosco Baek has been learning Himalayan Raja Yoga traditional studies from Ji-Myoung Park since 1996. From 1998 to 2003, before Bosco Baek came to the United States, he learned classical yoga therapy from Hyun-Soo Kim, who was a founder of Korea Yoga Academy and Spine Yoga Therapy. In 2006, when the Mohans opened the first 'Svastha Yoga' teacher course in Chicago, Mr. Baek studied with A.G. Mohan in Yoga therapy, Ayurveda and classical yoga texts, including Upanishad, Bhagavad Gita and Vedic Chanting. Bosco Baek extracted his three teachers' teachings and combined them into 'Ekatala' yoga, whose meaning is 'harmony, unison and accurate adjustment'. This yoga study contains classical Raja, Hatha and Yoga Therapy. It has no religious bias and represents a very scientific approach based upon anatomy and physiology. Bosco Baek is also the 'Chenjiagou Intangible Culture Chen Family Taijiquan Excellent Successor' officially certified by the birth place of Tai Chi, Chenjiagou (Chen Village), in October 2014. Mr. Baek has studied traditional Chen Family Taijiquan since 1999 along with his yoga studies. He also studied Chinese Hygiene Qigong in 1992, and was a former professor of Tai Chi at Samra University. He graduated from Loyola University Chicago and majored in biology. Bosco Baek currently runs Chen Bing Taiji Academy USA in Los Angeles and teaches classical Chen Family Taijiquan and Ekatala Yoga.
