Growth. In the 2010s, the growth of gross domestic product was 1.2%; the growth of agriculture was 2.0%; the growth of manufacturing was -0.63%.

Structure. In the 2010s, the economy of South America consisted of: services (42.2%), industry (22.1%), trade (15.6%), transportation (7.7%), construction (6.4%), and agriculture (5.9%).
