Sassa Aissou was born in Algeria and represented her homeland as an Olympian in the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Games. Now based in New York, she brings her lifelong devotion to art, language, and movement into her work as a poet and visual artist. Bridging cultures, generations, and identities, she writes from the heart of a woman shaped by many worlds - yet rooted in one unshakeable truth: love endures.
