This book has been designed for beginner-level learners of Modern Greek. It can be used for self-study or in a classroom. It is written in everyday language that is actually used in Greece. The dialogues are mainly written in the present tense; as we progress in the book, past and future tenses are introduced for some basic verbs. The most important words are explained in the Vocabulary section and the most common verbs are conjugated in the Grammar section. The exercises are meant to help students practice their skills using the words and grammatical structures found in the dialogues. Answers to the exercises are provided at the end of each chapter.
