Bill Hyer was born and raised in Southern California, lived in Hawaii, and came to Christ at the age of 18 in the Jesus Movement. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Summa Cum Laude in Biblical Studies from Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois, and a Master of Divinity Magna Cum Laude from Gordon-Conwell Seminary, South Hamilton, Massachusetts. He and his wife, Michelle, are blessed with two sons, their wives and five grandchildren. Bill has served churches in California, Florida Massachusetts, South Carolina and Mississippi.
