Preparation before surgery is a cornerstone in making the experience of going through surgery a less stressful experience for the kids, The special way the kids understand and perceive their surroundings should be minded while creating the preoperative plan. Every kid is different, and this is why every kid needs an individually tailored program that includes elements of cognitive, behavioral, and emotional preparation. Many tools can be used in preparing a kid for surgery, including role-play, doll-play, and storytelling. This Book is created by a health care provider, a pediatric anesthesiologist who takes care of children daily during surgery, and it was designed in a way that can provoke a narrative between the kid and the parent during storytelling. The alphabet design was intended for the age group of children undergoing the ear tubes surgery who are usually preschool "1-4 years old" kids who enjoy the "A, B, C..." familiar approach for stories.
