Product Description

by Claudia Cangilla McAdam (Author), Anna-Maria Crum (Illustrator)

Catholic parents, grandparents, and educators continually seek books that assist children in understanding their faith. "E" is for Eucharist is an alphabet book that introduces kids to some of the unique aspects of Catholicism. Through an engaging rhyming text and gorgeously rendered illustrations, young readers view children like themselves as active participants in the Church. This ABC book can be a jumping-off point for discussions about things that set the Catholic faith apart, such as Queen of Heaven, Rosary, Sacraments, and Tabernacle. Could there possibly be something for "X" and "Z" that might enlighten adults as well as kids? Most certainly! A free Discussion and Activities Guide available at the author's website, www.ClaudiaMcAdam.com, expands the scope of the book and gives kids fun things to do that deepen the appreciation of the faith.

Author Biography

Claudia Cangilla McAdam is an award-winning children's author and a lifelong Catholic. She has penned two dozen books, most of them for youth. Claudia holds a master's degree in theology, and her works invite young readers and their families to explore the beauty of the faith. "E" is for Eucharist is her second alphabet book. The first was about the state of Colorado, where she and her husband live not far from their children and grandchildren. Anna-Maria Crum started writing and illustrating her stories when she was seven years old. Today, she's an award-winning illustrator and the author of 22 grade school readers. When she's not writing, she's busy playing fetch with her dog, Tucker, and teaching him what things he can jump up on (couches, chairs, bed, laps) and what he can't (tables, kitchen counters, stove, and window ledges). Readers can look for him in one of the illustrations in "E" is for Eucharist.
