Dr. Joanna Johannes grew up in Indiana. It was there that she learned a strong work ethic. As a young adult, she become a world champion kneeboarder and then went on to be a serial entrepreneur. While obtaining her master's degree, she became the fastest promoted executive at a fortune 500 company. She then started her own auditing firm. Fifteen years ago, she founded her own Christian school in the Florida Panhandle. Starting out with only 12 students, it now has over 600! This amazing school called Lighthouse inspired her to write this book. She believes that children need to be encouraged to go outside more and have less screen time. She and her husband Colin raised two sons, Collin Wayne and Logan James, to be amazing young men who are currently in college and teaching young people about apologetics.
