Dots and boxes is a simple pen and paper game played by two people.
It was originally published in the 1800s in France under the name La Pipopipette and can also be called Pigs in a Pen, Boxes or Game of Dots.
Our templates provide a variety of grids depending on paper trim size. All of them contain at least one 9x9, two 6x6, and three 4x4 grids. The size of the grid affects the length of the game. Larger grids take longer to play.
