Product Description

by Leo Billings (Author)

This is a collection of brief contemplations dealing with some of the eternal questions about life and living in this world. I believe one can attain a serene fearlessness in thought, words, and actions as they approach daily life.

The objective of these reflections is to help others attain this fearlessness and overcome worry, fear, and unhealthy stress. The goal is to provoke deeper thought and develop more acute critical thinking skills.

The short essays are part philosophical and part spiritual. The intent is to diminish prejudices and dogmatic orthodoxies acquired over time and to better understand what one can know and what one may never know.

Philosophy is generally concerned with knowledge, conduct, and governance. This work is devoted more to knowledge and conduct. Political and military matters are left for others to contemplate. A fundamental tenet of fearlessness is that I have control over my knowledge and conduct and little control over my governance.

"Billings effectively showcases his appealing, affirmative perspectives. His essay-poems are both sweet and artful. Open-minded, uplifting." - Kirkus Reviews
