Product Description

by Don Kettleborough (Author)

The work you will see in this book comprises about twenty years of painting from approximately 1989 to 2009. As you will see, my choice of subject matter varies dramatically. Spending many years in Southwest Florida, flora and fauna were obvious choices. Monkeys have always fascinated me as you will see here. Also shown are portraits and still life. I have done hundreds of portraits over the years, but I have chosen to show only a few.

Author Biography

I was born in Mendota, Illinois, a small town in the center of the state. I guess you could say I excelled in art throughout my young years. I attended Northern Illinois University where I received a BS in Art Education, and later on an MA in Painting from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. The first fifteen years of my career was spent teaching art, mostly at the High School level. After my resignation from teaching, I decided to attempt to make a living using various art forms that I felt confident with. Since then I have been represented by Rick Moore Fine Art in Naples Florida and Santa Fe New Mexico, The Sterling Gallery in New Orleans, The Timmel Collection in Saugatuk Michigan and other Galleries in the Midwest. Also, aside from the paintings that these galleries handle, I spent many years doing Murals mostly in luxury residences across the country. I hope you enjoy the Painting!!
