Also, the catalyst to educate students from a young age about the strengths their neurodiverse classmates possess. Do The DAKI evolved as an extension to the messages in these books. Do The DAKI was born out of the desire to reinforce that classrooms are safe spaces for all. The authors believe, "As educators, we have always known the importance of addressing the social emotional, as well as the academic development, of our students."
