Nestled in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire, Dixville, Colebrook, Columbia, and Stewartstown are in a region of deep forests, grand mountains, and rich river valleys. Today, the region draws thousands of annual visitors for hiking, boating, snowmobiling, and other outdoor recreation. Dixville is the home of the historic Balsams Grand Resort, which has provided rest and recreation for over 100 years. Colebrook, with its many shops and arts center, remains the commercial heart for Stewartstown and Columbia.
