Product Description

by Ellen Johnston McHenry (Author)

This is the student text for the curriculum Discovering Motion. The student text is intended to be a convenience for teachers or parents who are doing this curriculum for multiple students and would like each student to have their own copy. (The parent or teacher needs a copy of the full curriculum book.) The student text includes many hands-on activities and experiments that are embedded into the text at the appropriate places so that the student really does discover the principles of motion as they go along. The cartoon characters in the book take the students to see famous scientists making the same discoveries that they are making. The book does include math activities but does not require math skills above pre-algebra (working with fractions, decimals, exponents and simple equations such as D=RT).
