Author Biography

John Hillman, a CPA and authority on sports history, devotes his energies to consulting and writing. His articles have appeared in Junior Baseball, Boys Quest, and Sports Collectors Digest. John covers Central Texas sports for the Dallas Morning News and contributes to the religion and living sections of the Arlington Morning News. The Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) selected him as its 1998 Sportswriter of the Year. Kathy Hillman, an avid sports fan, serves as Associate Professor and Acquisitions and Collection Development Librarian for Baylor University where she was named Outstanding Faculty in 1999. She also holds positions on the University Athletics Council and the Women's Athletic Cabinet. Kathy leads conferences and has written over fifty articles for Woman's Missionary Union, which she has served in varying capacities since 1981. The Hillmans have two sons, Marshall and Michael, and a daughter, Holly. They reside in Waco, Texas, actively involved in Columbus Avenue Baptist Church.
