Author Biography
MICHAEL A. LOFARO is professor emeritus of English at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Among his publications are Daniel Boone: An American Life and Boone, Black Hawk, and Crockett in 1833: Unsettling the Mythic West. He also served as general editor of The Works of James Agee.
