Jason, an early thirties Sydney lawyer is cuckolded by his wife who divorces him to marry the other man. His life now fallen apart, Jason decides to take a long holiday in the north of Australia. All is going well until an exploration team turns up to explore for gold and diamonds on their tribal lands. This is the start of a chain of events which take Jason and Meerala to Perth to try and have the unknown tribe officially recognised. While in Perth, due to a chain of unfortunate incidents, they run into problems with a local criminal kingpin and have to flee back to their tribal lands. What ensues will forever change the tribe's fortunes and they will never be the same again. Will Jason survive? How will Meerala be instrumental in the final outcome and what happens to the Spanish gold? So, how does this story end and what part does Susan from the Aboriginal Affairs Department play in the subsequent fortunes of the tribe?
