Product Description

by Karthikeyan Elumalai (Author), Arulmani Saravanan (Author), Abinash Baskaran (Author)

This book will provide information on the use of COVID-19 drugs and outlines the vaccination and drug treatment options for COVID-19 infection. Many viral infectious diseases have afflicted the world in the last 10 to 15 years. Its spread has a massive impact on the global economy and public health system. The outbreak of an unidentified pneumonia caused by the new strain SARS CoV-2 was identified and reported to the Chinese Health Commission in Wuhan (Hubei Province, China). Because of the SARS CoV-2's ability to spread and infect people at a higher rate around the world, thousands of antiviral drugs have been developed and are being used as antivirals. They cannot, however, work out a complete cure. As a result, the world began to initiate vaccine development. In this review we discussed the virology and pathophysiology of SARS CoV-2, as well as current therapeutic approaches to the disease. Some vaccines have been developed and are currently being used to prevent COVID-19 infection.
