Author Biography
Renee Weir-Fontes has enjoyed an exciting and diverse career as a caterer, cooking instructor and event designer. Early on, she had the opportunity to learn the event business from the ground up, working with professional caterers and restaurant chefs. In 1987 Renee opened Dinner at Eight Catering in the Orange County, California. In 2008 Renee joined the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California, as an Event Designer. In 2010 she began coordinating the Culinary Department for the Fair. She continues to stay immersed in catering, providing event services and teaching cooking classes under the banner of Fresh Ideas.
