Product Description

by Ros McIntosh (Author)

Sixty-five million Americans are living in condominiums today and the number is growing. "Condo Living" will help you decide whether living in a condominium is right for you. Each of the book's 15 chapters provides you with valuable information as well as humorous and surprising examples of condo rules and customs. Learn about the unique nature of condo life. Weigh its pros and cons versus living in a house, an apartment, or a cooperative and consider its advantages, shortcomings, quirks and joys before you buy.

Author Biography

Roswitha McIntosh was born in Germany and spent a year in England and France before a Fulbright Scholarship brought her to Smith College in the United States. After attending the Harvard/Radcliffe Program in Business Administration, she worked for a consulting firm as writer and editor of their publication, Practical Risk Management. McIntosh has lived in apartments and houses on both coasts of the United States. For the past 25 years, she has lived in a condominium and has served on the Association's Board for 18. She has written five books. Her best-selling book, The Madman & His Mistress, is historical fiction based on her own chilling experiences in Hitler's Germany. "I shed buckets of tears while writing it," she says, but writing about her condo experience caused a twinkle in her eyes-it was great fun.
