Author Biography

Ruth Ingamaj Korolyshyn was born and raised in a small town near the city of Orebro in the middle of Sweden, and she now resides in Florida, USA. She has always loved to create and do art work. She was blessed with a mother who always provided her and her sister and brothers with drawing paper and crayons and she always praised their simple creations which gave them an incentive to keep perfecting their artwork. While growing up she crossed paths with many talented artist and teachers both during her school years in Sweden and later on when she attended various art classes at many of the MWR (Moral-Welfare-Recreation) facilities that the US government made available for their soldiers & civilians, (her husband worked as a civilian for the Dept. of Defense at a number of different locations in Europe). During her stay in Italy, she was privileged to take art lessons from an Italian artist, Ernesto Scudiero, who helped to bring a new softness to her paintings, especially in her favorite media, oil on canvas, however, she also works in acrylics and with color pencils.
