Product Description

by Charles W. Page (Author), Georgia A. Page (Illustrator)

Explore an African river, climb a Baobab tree, grow in courage, and learn about unconditional love.

In this inspirational children's book, filled with crocodiles, hippos, and elephants, a young boy named Padso overcomes his fear of tree climbing. With his father's help, Padso learns about bravery, growing up, facing challenges, and asking for help, as he struggles to climb the tree.

Above all, Padso learns see his dad and his performance from a different viewpoint--through the lenses of his dad's unconditional acceptance.

You and your child:

  • Will learn about healthy family relationships between fathers and sons.
  • Experience action and adventure.
  • Learn an African tale about Upside Down (Baobab) Trees, known as the Tree of Life.
  • Explore African culture and customs.
  • Learn about family values, asking for help, and sharing our fears.

If you're willing, come along and join Padso, Azi, and Bambo while they climb the Upside Down Tree on the Zambezi River.

Dr. Chuck is a father of five fabulous kids. They have a triple decker tree house built in one of the largest Sweetgum Trees in East Texas.

He learned from his wife, Joanna, how to tell bedtime stories. He practices surgery in the day and writes faith based inspirational books and children's books in the wee hours of the morning.

This kids book about fathers, sons, and family relationships is special because it is his daughter, Georgia's debut in publishing. The illustrations in Climbing the Upside Down Tree are hand drawn by Georgia. She is a sophomore at Texas A & M University.

Dr. Page first heard this story in Africa, where he goes to train surgeons and plant churches. Dr. Chuck hosts Spoonful of Courage TV and is the author of the Spoonful of courage faith-based inspirational books.
