Product Description

by Byron Babbish (Author)

The Chronicles of a Detroit Railfan series of books brings back to life the many fascinating railroads serving a great city in the last quarter of the 20th Century when they were still so very interesting and so many. This is Volume 6 of Chronicles of a Detroit Railfan and it is about Detroit's Unusual, Unknown and Obscure Railroad Operations during the years 1975 to 2000. Covered in Volume 6 are Detroit's industrial railroads, belt lines and urban branchlines, towers, both interlocking and crossing types, and railroad bridges. See these unusual, unknown and obscure railroad operations as they were in color and black and white photographs taken by the author.
