Her determination and bravery were tested again and again as she and her children faced hunger and untold dangers in the wilderness.
How she survived and brought her family together after the war is related to the reader in her own words. She lived her life for her family with little consideration for herself. Before passing away, she requested only one thing; that her story be told.
