Author Biography

Alexander F. Hickethier is the Vice-President Maritime Institute Inc. for Curriculum Development and International and Academic Affairs. He is a visiting navigation department professor at Shanghai Marine University, Shanghai, China and National Kaohsiung Marine University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan He is an approved instructor of 23 Marine/STCW US Coast Guard (USCG) approved courses. He has designed and implemented 25 USCG approved Maritime courses 7 of which are approved e-Learning courses, Authored or co-authored 13 maritime textbooks and workbooks. He holds a BBS and MBA from National University
