SUMMARY

Camp Koob is a wondrous adventure story, weaving in ways to enjoy reading in the wilderness.

PLOT

Follow the Koobs as they enjoy a beautiful day at Camp Koob. At morning roll call, Miss Kris prompts Zigs to share a story at the group campfire later that evening. After the characters disperse, we see them on different adventures around the sprawling forest/lake setting. The evening campfire arrives and Zigs is faced with conflict, realizing she forgot her book by a cave while hiking. The Book Monsters rally together to help Zigs find her book and retrieve it from an unexpected plot twist. A bear had fallen asleep on the book! The group brainstorms silly ways to get Zigs's book back. Although their plans failed, the ultimate lesson is, there was success alone in fond memories of adventure.

BOOK MISSION STATEMENT

The subtle placement of books throughout the illustrations encourage kids to grab their own book and head outdoors. Books can be a great accessory and learning tool for adventure.
