This is the 2020 second edition of the complete English translation of Turkish author Reşat Nuri Güntekin's 1922 classic novel Çalıkuşu, on which the Netflix series Lovebird (2013) is based. An English translation of Çalıkuşu was published by Sir Wyndham Deedes in 1949, however, the final part was incomplete. This book contains the fully translated portion by Deedes (Parts 1-4) as well as the newly completed Part 5 (the final part) translated by Tugrul Zure and edited by Angel Garcia in 2018.
