Business As Mission! What does this mean exactly? In my opinion, business as mission is a broad concept. God gives all an opportunity to make an impact in this world, through the people we meet, the community we engage with and nations we operate in. On the other hand, business as mission is a powerful way to expand the spiritual kingdom of God. Business as mission plays out in many ways in the world. It changes based on current events, political, historical, and the economic environment. What is consistent is the framework of understanding the world. Wherever we are, we must serve the kingdom of God. That begins by firstly putting your trust in God.
When something happens unexpectedly in our life, a certain gap is created, and we can't see how to surpass it, overcome it, or move through it. At these times, we must stay close to God and accept His words. He said all is good for those who love him and dedicate his life to him. In these situations, we must trust God wholeheartedly and offer prayers.
My hope in writing this book is to encourage people to engage in the world of business and to do so in a manner pleasing to God. Business can be done in a manner that is honest, faithful and right. Once we realize everything belongs to God, we begin to look at our responsibilities in that light. In this book, I will expand on how to work out this goal on a step-by-step basis and explain my reasoning further.
