Burying Jane Doe: A Journey of Courage and Strength is written to encourage survivors of rape and sexual assault, especially women, since they make up the largest of the population of those who have been affected by this. I wrote the book from my own personal experience with rape and identity recovery, because in the midst of that storm, I could not find anything to speak of that could be read to give much-needed hope, comfort, and strength for that road I was forced to walk. This book will give voice to the heart cry of every woman, man, and child who has been assaulted in this way. It takes the reader on the ride from the depths of despair and back to peaceful waters again, reassuring them of the love and peace and presence of the Father. At the same time, it is educating the public on rape culture, PTSD, trauma, secondary trauma, the justice system, and the right and wrong ways people handle this subject and those affected by it. This is a book that is geared for survivors and their loved ones after sexual assault and rape.
