Written by a noted naval historian with input from four scale ship modelers and noted researcher it features color photos of five models based on the kit, accompanied by descriptions of what was done to achieve such high quality models. It is illustrated with historical photos from the author's archives as well as drawings from sources including PT BOATS, INC., the official national veterans association of the men who served on PT boats in World War II.

I am a Naval Historian. I have written five books since 1994. They are PT BOATS IN ACTION, VOSPER MTBs IN ACTION, US 110' SUBCHASERS IN ACTION, U.S. PATROL TORPEDO BOATS IN WORLD WAR II, 1939-1945, and I've co-authored SCHNELLBOOT IN ACTION. I have also written several articles that have appeared in MODEL SHIP BUILDER, SHIPS IN SCALE, MODEL SHIP JOURNAL and the International Plastic Modelers' Society's MODELERS JOURNAL since 1996.
