"Bryant: A Creek Indian Nation Townsite" is a 204-page illustrated history of the now defunct Okmulgee County, Oklahoma, Creek Indian Nation town site of Bryant and of the public school that was once in operation there. It is made up of a narrative to provide a brief account of some of the key events that took place at the town site from the late 1800s up to recent times that is illustrated by means of a collection 377 photographs and other graphic forms. The intent of the author was to capture the look and feel of day-to-day life in one of the many town sites that were incorporated when land in the Oklahoma Indian Territory was made available for outside settlement. *****
