Product Description

by Thomas A. Middlemost (Editor), Bruno Leti (Author)

Bruno Leti: Series lays bare a life of art, of intertwined visual and theoretical revelations, inspirations and chance encounters, prudently curated for the joy of discovery. Composed by both Leti and editor Thomas Middlemost, it is a longitudinal study of curiosities, with added observations by other contributors. Describing the inspirations for different series and laying out many of the artist's works across time, Series revels in the continuing body of painting, printmaking, and photography produced by this ever-productive elder statesman of monotype.

Author Biography

Thomas A Middlemost is art curator at Charles Sturt University and has a PhD in art history from Australian National University. He was foundation chair of the Arts Advisory Committee City of Wagga Wagga from 2001 to 2009, a board member of the Council of Australian University Museums and Collections from 2007 to 2012, and interned at the Tate Modern in 2001. He is an irregular contributor to IMPRINT, the journal of the Print Council of Australia, and a printmaking friendly curator. Bruno Leti lives and works in Melbourne. His disciplines are painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, and book arts. He is represented in national, state, and regional galleries, as well as university collections across Australia. His major art awards include the Poll-Krasner Foundation Grant, New York and State Library Victoria Fellowship, Melbourne, and residencies at the Australian National University in Canberra, Grafica-Uno in Milan and The British School in Rome.
