Author Biography

Joe and Sarah Caples are a writing team. Joe and Sarah don't lead a huge church. They don't get financial support from denominations or other organizations for the ministry they do. Everything Joe and Sarah do is a result of genuinely loving the people God has brought into their lives. So, they strive to live their lives as Jesus would live them, and this allows them to build relationships where many Christians would never even try. Joe and Sarah are known in restaurants, bars, and cafes throughout Sacramento, where they reside with their three sons. They started with a plan to establish a new church in the Midtown area of Sacramento, but quickly realized there was a greater need for Christians who would simply be good neighbors. They think of themselves as missionaries in their city, but they don't focus too much on the title. Joe and Sarah develop and help coordinate content for Forge Sacramento (an organization devoted to training men and women to live as missionaries in their neighborhoods), and they coach participants in the extended residency program. Joe also teaches Bible and History at Epic Bible College in Sacramento.
