Product Description

by John L. Brown (Author)

Many modern Bible readers have wished they could have sat at the feet of Jesus and his apostles to hear their teachings first hand. But unless you grew up in that time and place, much of their teachings would still be difficult to understand. Traditional views of the Bible lack a cultural understanding which has ultimately caused its messages to be misinterpreted. With anthropological information that has become available in the last sixty years, a more accurate understanding of biblical times can be attained. This booklet introduces cultural solutions to well known biblical enigmas, or passages difficult to understand, and offers alternatives to traditional views.Written not for seminary students, this booklet is intended to benefit the average pew sitter.

Author Biography

Author and essayist John Brown's life quest resonates with the words of the late Steve Jobs: "Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition." John's intuition and natural curiosity led him into many fields, earning degrees in theology, nursing sciences, and digital networking technologies, and finally into the fields of research and writing. Inspired by God's spirit and driven by enquiry, John has sought to see a larger picture of the Christian Faith and the needs of the followers of Jesus Christ to understand their Bible. John lives in Largo, Florida with his wife of 30 years. They raised two sons together. He can be found on Google Plus, Facebook and Youtube.
