Every year over 2 million tourists visit Mount Rushmore National Monument in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Between the River and the Hills is a blend of fact and fiction providing an intimate view of human life in the sparsely populated area between the Missouri River and the Black Hills of South Dakota in the year 1972.
