Beowulf is an epic poem that tells the story of a legendary hero named Beowulf. The poem was written in Old English and is believed to have been composed between the 8th and 11th centuries. However, years later, a dragon begins to terrorize his kingdom, and Beowulf sets out to defeat it. He is successful in killing the dragon, but is mortally wounded in the process.The poem explores themes of heroism, loyalty, and the struggle between good and evil.
