It is hoped that this English translation will lead to a wider appreciation of Toon Brekelmans, his skill in basket making, his eye for form and function, his attention to detail and the book's excellent images. The book will be of interest to beekeepers who wish to make skeps, as well as those interested in making baskets and bowls for more general use.

David Wright and his wife Bron have kept bees since 1998 and enjoy making skeps and using them to catch swarms.
