Product Description

by Nic Aldam (Author)

Pep Guardiola's four seasons as FC Barcelona's first-team coach will be remembered as one of the greatest ever eras in club football. Not only did Guardiola's team win an astonishing fourteen titles in those four seasons, but Bar a's brand of possession-based football which came to be known as tiki-taka was widely regarded to be among the most attractive styles of football ever seen. The outstanding player of the team was undoubtedly the astonishingly talented Leo Messi and he was supported superbly by other star players such as Xavi Hern ndez, Andr s Iniesta, Carles Puyol, Victor Vald s, Sergio Busquets, Eric Abidal and Dani Alves to name just some. Other big name players such as Samuel Eto'o, Thierry Henry, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Villa also played their parts in Bar a's unstoppable success. Bar a: The Guardiola Years tells the story of this remarkable era from start to finish with a special focus on 40 of the team's most interesting matches (ten games from each season).
