Author Biography
JoAnn Shade served with her husband Larry as Salvation Army officers (pastors and administrators) for 34 years. Following the completion and early days of operation of the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Ashland, she retired in 2012 from the daily responsibilities of Salvation Army leadership. She has also been privileged to share in ministry at North Coast Family Foundation, a Christian counseling center in Northeast Ohio. With a M.A. in pastoral counseling and a D.Min. from Ashland Theological Seminary, she combines her academic training with a writer's eye, a pastor's heart and a grandmother's joy as she serves the body of Christ through Gracednotes Ministries.
