After spending much of her life as a psychologist, Dr. Mary Baures adopted baby elephants and took up wildlife photography. Sitting around nighttime campfires in Zambia, Botswana, and Kenya she felt intimately connected to the eerie whoop of hyenas mixed with the deep reverberating moans of lions calling to each other.
